About The Event

A 10 year old CAN achieve most goals if given the right mentorship, guidance, and tools. Our Rite of Passage program puts a child and their parent in a wilderness survival environment. For the next 72 hour you will be taught foraging skills, hunting skills, rifle marksmanship and proper ways to harvest game.

This event is the "line in the sand" that youth need to begin their ascent into emerging adulthood.

In a Tribe, everyone works together for a single purpose. Likewise we work together as a team to give you and your teen something to remember for years to come.

Space is limited so please Register as soon as possible. You will be notified via email or text if you are granted a spot or not. Registration does not guarantee a hunt.

Listed below is the agenda for the upcoming youth hunt. For those that are selected to attend, proof of a completed hunter safety is required. For any youth 16 years or older, a hunting license for the target species will be required.

All attendees will have a place to primitive camp and food will be provided throughout the weekend. The following supplies are typically needed for the weekend hunt. If you do not have access to certain supplies, the HuntMaster will work to accommodate you.

Tent, ground tarp

Adequate sleeping bags/pads

Wet wipes always come in handy on a primitive camping trip

Toiletries

Lantern, flashlights, extra batteries

Chair, stool and/or a pad for use around base camp and while hunting

Bring large ice chest filled with ice. This helps making sure there will be enough ice on site to keep food and beverages chilled. Also, to store and transport any game that may be harvested.

Comfortable, full camouflage clothing and boots, including gloves, hat and face masks.

Wearing closed-toe/closed-hell shoes at all times is required.

Firearm and ammunition (factory loaded) legal to Florida’s regulations of species being hunted and youth compatible.

Orange hunting vests for youth & adults, to be worn at all times; unless otherwise instructed by the HuntMaster.

Sharp knife for cleaning & skinning game.

Zip lock bags for storing harvested game.

Insect repellant and/or ThermaCell.

Shooting sticks

Any additional comfort items including extra snacks or youth friendly drinks that you and your child may desire.
