The Outdoorsman Ultimate Tournament

Welcome to the Outdoorsman Ultimate Tournament, a 10 CAN production presented by Bass Pro Shops. This is a weekend long competition that gives hunters and fishermen an opportunity to feed orphans. Imagine making a difference in the world by doing what you love; because that’s what this event is all about.

For many of you, it’s just another weekend in the woods or on the water. You can choose to compete in a single category of fishing or hunting or compete in the supreme challenge of hunting, fishing, and foraging. Foraging is as simple as hunting and fishing, except you ONLY take a picture of the edible item to demonstrate your knowledge. Forage skills will be weighed by adding 10 pounds for each item found. Weight is key to winning.

Hunters: You may hunt anywhere, with any weapon, for anything, as long as you obey state and federal rules and regulations. You must take a picture of your harvest with the event icon before you field dress or butcher. Debone the carcass and bag it up in zip lock bags. Keep it on ice throughout the weekend. Dirty, soiled, or previously frozen meat (from your freezer) will not be accepted.

Fishermen: You may fish anywhere, for anything, by any means as long as you obey all state and federal rules and regulations. Fish must remain whole but do remove guts and gills (if possible). Your fish will be weighed on Sunday after inspected by FWC and cleaned by you and/or our cleaner. Remember, the mission is to catch as much edible food as possible; so, you may want to do the cleaning to ensure every morsel makes it to weigh-in.

Start Time: 9:00am Oct 12, 2018

Packet pickup is at Bass Pro Shops in Gainesville from 9:00am – 5:00pm on Friday Oct 12th. You may begin immediately upon receiving the event packet. Event packet consists of the event icon, a shirt, detailed instructions for your category, and other miscellaneous items.

Finish Time: 3:00pm Oct 14, 2018

Who: Teams of two are recommended for hunting or fishing categories, however mandatory for the supreme challenge.
