About The Event
This one-day, shore-based fishing clinic is designed to introduce women to saltwater fishing and educate participants on how to be responsible, ethical stewards of Florida's marine resources. You'll also learn casting, rules and regulations, Fish ID, tackle box necessities, knot tying/rig making, and more. Programs are free for 10 CAN members, but we ask for a $50 donation from non-members to help offset the cost of food, tackle, and other resources.
This event requires a saltwater fishing license to attend which is free and can be found at https://myfwc.com/license/recreational/saltwater-fishing/shoreline-faqs/.
The day ends with an opportunity for all participants to put their newly learned skills to work as they fish from shore. Participants may borrow fishing gear from the St. Johns Parks and Rec, 10 CAN, or bring your own equipment. Lunch will be provide. Free gear give-a-way as well.
